Commercial Realtor Dwight Selby Announces Candidacy
for Ormond Beach City Commission
Ormond Beach- Longtime Commercial Realtor and business leader
Dwight Selby has announced his intention to seek the office of Ormond
Beach City Commissioner, Zone 1 in 2016.
“I am excited to bring fresh ideas and new leadership to the City of
Ormond Beach,” said Selby. “Ormond Beach is a great city and I believe
there are things we can do to seize upon new opportunities and make it
even better,” he said.
Selby has lived and worked in Ormond Beach for over 3 decades and has been active in leadership
roles within the Ormond Chamber of Commerce, Ormond MainStreet, Daytona Beach Area Association
of Realtors, the Daytona State College Foundation, and Career Source (formerly Workforce
Development Board). He plans to put his success in business to work for the citizens of Ormond Beach
as a servant leader. Selby said, “Government, like the private sector, needs to continually look for
ways to be more efficient – delivering more service to the citizens at a lower cost.”
Selby has been married to his wife Sheryl for 32 years, has two married sons & a grandchild and is
active at Oasis Church.
